Affinity Shining Star profile: Sally Buckley

“Not many people are lucky enough to say that they get to work with amazing educators who become family.”

Sally Buckley originally set her sights on a career in primary school education. However a piece of advice she now considered 'the best I ever received as a high school student' made her enrol in a double degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education...a learning journey which eventually led her to Kids Academy Penrith.

In 2015 Sally joined the team as a casual educator, in December 2016 she became Assistant Centre Manager - a record career advancement by anyone's standards! She credits her success to the people around her in both her personal and professional life.

“I love that fact that every day is different; you can never predict what is going to happen!” she says.

“Without the team spirit we have built at Kids Academy Penrith, we would not be achieving the results we currently are. I cannot thank my girls enough for their continued hard work, dedication and adaption to change,” she says.

”My parents have also been the most supportive people I could ever ask for, they are the driving force behind who I am as a person and what I have achieved.”

Sally also appreciates being part of the Lifelong Learning Centres network owned and operated by Affinity Education Group.

“Affinity is continually going above and beyond to implement processes and systems that not only support us to be better educators and leaders but allow us to develop the best centres possible," says Sally.

"With an endless support system in every area there is no shortage of people to contact or information to educate and inform us. Centres that embrace all support networks that Affinity has to offer are not only set up for, but are guided to success.”
