Thirteen new childcare centres join the Affinity Education Group community

Affinity Education Group (Affinity) has confirmed the recent acquisition of thirteen early education and care centres in NSW and ACT, boosting the availability of the group’s unique centres across Canberra, Sydney, Central Coast and regional NSW.

CEO Tim Hickey said the new centres would collectively add close to 1000 places for children under five to Affinity’s growing portfolio.

“We’re delighted to be able to expand our community and offer so many more children, especially in regional areas, access to our unique Lifelong Learning approach in their first five years before they start primary school,” Mr Hickey said.

Mr Hickey said the new centres were situated in areas with family presence and a growing need for high quality early education.

“As soon as we acquire a new centre, we work with the teams to introduce them to our ‘Affinity Way’ which covers safety, education, compliance, recruitment, family support and a dedicated quality improvement program,” Mr Hickey said.

Children and families will benefit from our industry-leading teaching, and educators will benefit from our continuous paid professional development opportunities which are offered through the Affinity Learning Academy, and our focus on career development pathways.”

Now owned and operated by Affinity Education Group, centres will have access to the Lifelong Learning approach, a methodology to early education led by Affinity’s Education Team and Senior Advisor Pedagogy and Practice, Dr Lesley Jones.

“Lifelong Learning Centres bring the magic of children into everything we do. Our approach to early years education is designed to grow a love of lifelong learning in every child, from babies to school age and beyond, and help them reach their full potential,” Dr Jones said.

“We do this by applying evidence-based theories and strategies shown to enhance children’s learning.”

Centre Manager, Sarah Jovani at Milestones Early Learning Centre Lisarow said joining Affinity and transitioning to newly branded Milestones Early Learning Centre had been nothing short of fantastic.

“We have received great support from day one. I am incredibly excited to offer Affinity’s Lifelong Learning approach, and our team feel confident about our transition to Milestones Early Learning Lisarow. With Affinity’s support, we will continue to educate and nurture the children in our care,” Ms Jovani said.

The thirteen centres are located in Tamworth, Castle Hill, Canberra, Lisarow, Coffs Harbour, Kellyville, and Wamberal. Each centre has entered a rebrand process to transition to one of the known childcare brands operated by Affinity which include Papilio Early Learning, Milestones Early Learning, Kids Academy and Aussie Kindies Early Learning.

Affinity Education Group is Australia’s third largest provider of early education and care, operating more than 150 approved Lifelong Learning long day care, kindergarten, preschool and OSHC centres across Australia.
