Raising Healthy Families: Free Webinar Series

When it comes to confidently raising healthy children, we are committed to helping our families every step of the way. This is why we are proud to invite families, both within the Lifelong Learning Centres community and beyond, to join us for Healthy Families: Webinar Series, a free, national webinar series discussing topics that are important to families and presented by subject matter experts.

Featured Topics

The content of the webinar series is tailored around topics that are important to families of young children. This includes evidence informed practice, behavioural guidance workshops, transitioning to primary school, child protection training, nutrition, ASD, age-specific topics, and more.

Our upcoming April session

Our second edition of the series is titled ‘Healthy Families Webinar Series: Developing Emotional Resilience in Children’ and will be hosted by Senior Advisor Pedagogy and Practice, Dr Lesley Jones.

Resilience is one of the key skills needed for children to be successful in life.  It is the ability to bounce back from stress and challenges, tragedy, trauma and adversity. When children are resilient, they are braver, readily adaptable, curious, and feel more confident within themselves. The great news is resilience can be nurtured in all children.

During the 1-hour webinar, Dr Lesley will explore:

  • Understanding the importance of resilience

  • What actions empower your child

  • Build your child’s emotional literacy, coping skills and grit

  • How to positively impact the way your child reacts and responds to life.

This webinar will take place 6:00pm (AEST) 20 April at 6pm.

Healthy Children

Here at Affinity Education, we believe that raising healthy children is the highest priority for all families. Through our community of Lifelong Learning Centres, we embed our Healthy Children framework into all our education programs.

The Lifelong Learning Centre’s Healthy Children framework is an integrated approach to learning that nurtures confidence, learning, and curiosity in every child in our centre community.

The Healthy Children program is based on six key themes:

  • Healthy Minds
  • Healthy Bodies
  • Healthy Food
  • Healthy Families
  • Healthy World
  • Healthy Communities

We endeavour to support families and children through these valuable early learning years and support them on their Healthy Families journey.

Supporting our centre community through 2022 and beyond!
