More than 240 Affinity Education Group Centre Managers have been invited to a fully funded professional development conference on the Gold Coast from 3-4 August 2024, to enjoy an inspirational program built around the theme of Potential, Realised.
“Potential, Realised is our brand promise to our employees, and our goal is to ensure Affinity Education Group helps people in this sector realise their own potential beyond what they believed was possible,” said Chief Operating Office Tim Hickey.
“Our Affinity Centre Manager’s Conferences become career milestones for our Managers as we completely connect, live the team spirit, have serious fun and inspire each other to go above and beyond for our teams and the children in our care.”
Centre Manager Zoe Aubrey will be among the excited attendees who are attending for the first time.
“In previous conference years I’ve been in Lead Educator or Assistant Centre Manager roles with Affinity and heard all about the conferences from my Centre Managers at the time – this is the first time I will be able to attend myself and I’m really looking forward to the opportunity,” Zoe said.
The 2024 Affinity Centre Managers conference will focus on four pillars of potential: Self, Team, Business and Community.
“Within each of those themes, there is so much for our centre leaders to unpack and explore – and our conference will give them the opportunity to review and reflect on what is possible for 2024 and beyond with Affinity’s support behind them,” Mr Hickey said.
An artwork created in collaboration with Wandana Aboriginal Education has been released to represent the conference as the key imagery for the event, and as part of our communities own reconciliation journey. The artwork features six larger dashes representing the six states and territories where Affinity operates its early education centres in WA, NT, QLD, ACT, NSW and VIC.
“The 31 dots represent Affinity’s ‘Areas’ – clusters of centres which operate as sister centre hubs close to each other, often sharing team members and building strong relationships supported by our Area Managers,” explained Ms Gabby Collins from Wandana Aboriginal Education.
“Our artist added blue and green curved lines to represent Affinity’s Centre Managers moving together from all around Australia in August, as they gather to realise their potential,” she said.
The handprints in the artwork reflect the work Affinity Education Group achieves in early childhood education, and the pillars of potential to be reviewed at the conference.
The Affinity Education Group Centre Managers Conference will take place 3-4 August at RACV Resort on the Gold Coast.
Attendance for Centre Managers, Senior Centre Managers, Area Managers, State Managers and key Education, Quality and Centre Support Office employees is fully funded including flights, accommodation and all meals along with key speaker and entertainment events.
Further details including Feature Speakers, sponsors and attendees will be released in June.
