As a Centre Cook at Affinity Education, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the health, wellbeing, and daily joy of children aged 0–5. From preparing nutritious meals to engaging children in food education, you’ll help create healthy habits that last a lifetime.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Centre Cook, you’ll keep the kitchen running smoothly while making mealtimes something children look forward to every day. In this role, you’ll:

Prepare and serve nutritious meals, snacks, and purees tailored to children’s needs

Cater for a variety of dietary requirements, cultural preferences, and allergies

Maintain a clean, safe kitchen that meets all health and hygiene standards

Work with educators to involve children in cooking experiences and food education
-
Follow safe food handling procedures and use Affinity’s allergy management systems
-
Collaborate with your Centre Manager to plan menus and meet centre needs
What You’ll Need
To work as a Centre Cook at Affinity, you’ll need:

A Food Safety & Handling Certificate (Health and Community)
-
Experience working in a commercial or childcare kitchen
-
A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (desirable but not essential)

A valid Working with Children Check
