Celebrating Affinity Educations Trainees Of The Month For February

This March we highlight some of our most dedicated and passionate trainees in our centres throughout Australia for the month of February. Through the Affinity Learning Academy, we are committed to providing a supportive network of knowledgeable and experienced coaches, encouraging those students who through a love of Early Childcare Education and Care can reach their full potential.

Georgia Wood – Milestones Early Learning Deeragun

Affinity Learning Academy Coach, Julia Barrett stated “Georgia has grown so much since starting at Milestones Deeragun and works so hard on each and every cluster with such enthusiasm and dedication. Keep up the hard work Georgia.”

When did you make the decision to make early childhood your career pathway?

I made the decision when I was looking for a new career path and thought it would be a good fit for me since I enjoyed looking after children.

What do you love most about being a part of the Affinity Learning Academy?

I love the support that is provided and the job progression that is available.

What does receiving student of the month mean to you?

It means that my efforts are being recognised which is always a good feeling.

Can you tell me a little about your centre and what you love most about it?

The centre has an amazing centre manager and 2IC that are always supportive towards staff.

Reiko Murphy – Aussie Kindies Early Learning Granville

Reiko is currently completing her Cert III where she is planning to continue on to starting and completing a Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching.

When did you make the decision to make early childhood your career pathway?

When looking at university I preferred the subjects involved in teaching- I also had a primary school teacher that I liked and thought that I could do what they did.

What do you love most about being a part of the Affinity Learning Academy?

I like the support I get from our development coach and the team.

What does receiving student of the month mean to you?

It is nice to be recognized for our hard work.

Can you tell me a little about your centre and what you love most about it?

Our people are nice and caring, and environments are so natural and inviting.

Charlie Rogan – Kids Academy Claremont Meadows

Affinity Learning Academy Coach, Steph Ericson shared, “Charlie has been an Educator eager to learn and grow from the moment I first met her, her passion for the sector shines through and now I see her sharing this passion and guiding other Educators through their own Learning and development.”

Matthew Brown – Milestones Early Learning Keysborough

Matthew Brown from Milestones Keysborough was recognised for his continual hard work in the centre rooms, with his paperwork, and for his exceptional communication with children, his colleagues and families.

When did you make the decision to make early childhood your career pathway?

I made the decision to follow this career path as I had previously worked with children, and it was amazing to see the positive impact I have had on their lives.

What do you love most about being a part of the Affinity Learning Academy?

Being a part of the learning academy means that I have the support of teachers who are involved with Affinity rather than external organisations that don’t understand our values or vision.

What does receiving student of the month mean to you?

Being recognised as the student of the month means that the hard work is being seen and keeps me motivated moving forward.

Can you tell me a little about your centre and what you love most about it?

We have a great culture, and we are truly connected. We have rituals that I have not seen before like our teatime, where children come to connect with each other in a relaxed atmosphere.

Congratulations to all our students of the month for February 2023.
