Our Curriculum
At Affinity Education, we believe that the best approach to early childhood education is one that nurtures each child’s individual development through a balance of play, exploration, and structured learning.
Our Lifelong Learning Curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and support every stage of a child’s growth.
With a focus on fostering essential life skills, our approach is rooted in research and best practices, ensuring that children develop the strong foundation they need for future success.
The Lifelong Learning Curriculum
The Lifelong Learning Curriculum is regarded as the most advanced approach to early education in Australia.
It draws on the best models of early education, including the traditional practices from Montessori and Reggio Emilia, but also incorporates contemporary research and evidence informed practices drawn from attachment theory and the Circle of Security, language development from Abecedarian, and Project Based Learning.

In Line with Australia's Early Years Learning Framework
The Lifelong Learning Curriculum aligns to Australia's Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). It takes the five key learning outcomes and contextualises this for the specific needs of babies, toddlers and 3-5 years old's, setting even the youngest children up for a lifetime love of learning.
The Curriculum is developed for three discreet age groups (babies, toddlers, and 3-5 year old's). Each age group has a specific educational focus that builds through the curriculum and culminates as children prepare to graduate to primary school.
Instilling a Lifetime Love of Learning
Healthy Beginnings
The Healthy Beginnings Program, part of our Lifelong Learning Curriculum, is grounded in the Circle of Security approach, which strengthens the attachment bond between babies and their caregivers. By fostering secure attachments, educators provide a safe and nurturing environment where babies feel confident to explore and seek comfort when needed. This relationship-based approach promotes emotional regulation, social competence, and overall wellbeing, ensuring each child's healthy development from their earliest years.
Early Experiences
The Early Experiences Program builds on the Healthy Beginnings Program by incorporating the Abecedarian Approach for children aged one to three. This approach emphasises creating a language-rich environment through interactive teaching strategies like conversational reading, learning games, and enriched caregiving. By embedding rich language and responsive interactions into daily routines, the program supports toddlers’ language development, social competence, and overall success, laying a strong foundation for future academic and social outcomes.
